8.6 gone! Pattinson strikes. Edges a loose drive to Haddin. Full outside off stump, Cook will be angry that he was drawn into playing. Pattinson lets out a roar of delight, he's got the man who scored 766 runs the last time these sides met in the Ashes. After that wayward first over he's caused a few problems 27/1

21.1 got him! The yorker does the job! Siddle gets his line right first ball from this end and the length is spot-on as well. Perhaps just a little hint of swing away and Root plays the wrong line, losing his off stump. 78/2
35.5 Siddle again! What a day he's having. Crucial moment. Very un-Trott like as he goes for a booming drive to a wide delivery and gets an inside edge which demolishes his stumps. Another poor shot from an England batsman 124/4
27.3 massive moment! Pietersen edges to second slip. Poor stroke. Playing away from his body again, it was a tighter line and shaped away, taking the edge to second slip 102/3
47.5 gone! Siddle strikes again in the first over of a spell! That's the third time this innings he's done that. Beautiful ball as well - angles in and then curves away from Bell, whose thick outside edge is taken by Watson at first slip. 178/5

57.1 castled! Now it's reward for Starc. Full at off stump, Bairstow plays around it and the pole flies backwards. Wasn't quite a yorker, Bairstow closed the face as he aimed for the leg side. Had played straight for so much of his innings 213/8
49.2 Siddle has five! That's not his best ball of the day, but Prior has authored his own downfall with a terrible shot. Short and wide outside off, Prior's eyes have lit up and he's gone the big cut but straight to the man at point. It's Phil Hughes, and he takes the catch above his head. 180/6
56.5 all the good work undone. A bit dim from Broad who gets sucked in by a short ball which he top edges and Pattinson himself steadies under the catch on the on side 213/7
58.6 that's a pretty fitting way to end the innings, Swann just prods a catch to cover from a short of a length delivery that he poked at with no intent at all 215/10
57.2 first ball! Playing away from his body, edges through to Haddin. Finn reviews, thinking he has hit the ground, but replays quickly confirmed the nick. 213/9

3.3 gone! Finn hits back...full outside off, drawing Watson into the drive, and a thick outside flies to third slip where Root, new in that position, holds on well 19/1
14.3 speared in and hit in front, Rogers again pulled across his stumps ... up goes Dharmasena's finger but Rogers reviews! The angle was quite exaggerrated but this only has to be clipping and Hawk Eye suggests it was, Rogers has to drag himself away! Anderson's hard work in probing outside off pays off as Rogers fell over his front leg, missed a straight one, though it was only a stump shaver 53/4
3.4 and another! Fast-forward cricket. What a day we are having. Another awful top-order shot, Cowan chases a very wide, full delivery and edges a low catch to Swann at second slip. Not a shot he'll want to frame. 19/2
6.2 oh, bowled him, that's a peach of a delivery from Anderson! Unplayable covers it but that ball deserves a few more words in homage. It was on a length, curving in to pitch on off stump and then shape back past Clarke's outside edge as he groped forward, the ball kissing the top of off and gently dislodging the bails. Too good for Australia's best 22/3
28.3 drives at this and edges it behind where did that come from? I think it moved a little and look a thin edge to Prior. From looking gun-barrel straight in the preceding overs this morning, this has just shaped a little away from Smith driving, admittedly a touch loosely outside off stump, he got a feather edge and Prior took it low down. The ball might have actually just wobbled off the pitch rather than in the air 108/5

29.1 turns in from outside off and Haddin is bowled big turn from two feet outside off to take the off stump as Haddin played back, big moment for England. That really went, the first ball that has really spun. Haddin was playing back to a just back of a length delivery, he looked to play perhaps a little too square and that cost him as the turn totally deceived him and he lost his off stump 113/6
30.2 back of a length just outside off, poked at edged and caught behind superb diving catch by Prior down to his right, fine grab. This time it left the right-hander a little, Siddle followed it outside off stump and Prior took off and claimed it very well a full stretch down to his right-hand side. Mastery of swing bowling evident again from Anderson, first one in, then one away, superb 114/7
32.1 poked at again just outside off and another edge, this time straight to Prior and Anderson has five wickets, what an effort this morning from him. It was a full ball that ran across the left-hander who had a dabble at it outside off an got a feather edge. Starc didn't move his feet and it might have shaped away from him a little with another hint of reverse swing 114/8
33.4 gone this time though, played forward and given out lbw struck on the front pad bang in front and the arm ball has done the trick. Pattinson has reviewed but it's in vain surely, yep that's smashing leg stump and there was no inside edge. Swann beating the inside edge this time and Pattinson is a goner 117/9

64.5 back of a length, pulled and...got him!! Oh no, caught in the deep. A miscue aiming to the midwicket boundary but didn't get it and Graeme Swann came in and took a low catch. He came so close, having played so well, but Agar has fallen just short of an historical century but it's still the highest Test score by a No. 11 280/10

59.1 Agar has his first Test wicket, and it's a big one! Pitches it in the rough and it's more a top-spinner than a regulation offbreak, Cook tries to close the face on it, but it has run off his leading and deflected towards slip, where Clarke takes an outstanding catch high and to his left. Agar's smile is even bigger than after his 98 yesterday! 131/4
7.3 Starc has struck! Root has been given out caught down leg side. Brad Haddin was very keen in his appeal, and Aleem Dar raises the finger! Root seemed uncertain of whether he'd hit it - he was enquiring of Cook whether to review it and the result was no review. Looks like there was probably a fine tickle off the face of the bat - which was a long way from the body as he tried to glance 11/1
7.4 huge lbw shout! Enormous! And after Aleem Dar says not out, Australia ask for a review and the decision is overturned. Now this is an interesting one. It's fullish and swinging in, dead straight. Would have hit middle stump. But Trott seems to think he's hit it, and while Hot Spot didn't appear to show anything, the front-on camera showed a sharpish deviation just before the ball hit the pad. The third umpire must have felt it was the natural swing of the ball. Trott's not happy, but he has to go, and Starc is on a hat-trick 11/2

56.6 got him, played on - there'll be no KP special today! Middle stump is flat on the ground and Pattinson is puffing out his chest in celebration. It was a length ball, sitting up outside off and Pietersen threw the hands at it, maybe undone by the merest hint of reverse and it took the inside edge before clattering into the woodwork. KP pays for his native belligerence and Pattinson has the breakthrough that Australia yearned for 121/3
146.2 full ball just outside off, Bell plays forward and nicks it behind a feather edge and up goes the finger. Bell's fabulous effort comes to an end. He went forward a foot outside off to a ball that straightened enough to take the edge that carried low through to Haddin. The change and around the wicket angle works 371/8
79.6 spins away from the bat, takes the edge and Agar has another! Lovely bowling from another Australia with a touch of the golden about him, the ball drifting in and then gripping just enough off the pitch to turn and take the outside edge before nestling safely, exultantly in Brad Haddin's gloves! 174/5
92.6 Siddle has done it! Prior's promising innings ends with a pull to midwicket. Siddle has banged it in short and whether the ball has sat up a bit more than he expected, I'm not sure, but he's really mistimed it and Ed Cowan at midwicket makes no mistake 218/6
140.5 forces off the back foot, edged and caught behind and Australia cling on to a chance with Haddin taking it diving to his left, a comfortable catch and this time Broad walks off! Trying to force away on the off side, the delivery slanted across Broad who probably should have been playing a little straighter and got a thick outside edge, straightforward take for Haddin 356/7
149.3 this time the edge to slip has been snapped up! Siddle goes just a fraction short of a length and Swann's attempted punch through the off side flies off the edge between Watson at first and Clarke at second, this time both go for it instead of neither, and Clarke nabs it in front of Watson 375/9

149.5 rapid end to the innings now as Anderson simply clips a catch to short midwicket from a ball that stays a touch low, and Hughes makes no mistake. Siddle ends up with three for the innings and eight for the match 375/10

24.1 gone! He's trapped Watson lbw first ball after drinks. Ah, but Watson is asking for a review. Broad swung it back in, Watson got a big stride in but there was no inside edge, and HawkEye shows ... that is clipping the outside of leg stump! Umpire's call stands, and Watson is gone. 84/1
42.4 full on the stumps and chipped straight to midwicket what on earth has Rogers done! Straight ball on the stumps and Rogers, looking to go leg side with it, has popped up the simplest of chances to Ian Bell who needed only one step to his left to take it at shoulder height. Looks as if England had some plan because Anderson turned a looked straight at the dressing room where David Saker gave him a big thumbs up 124/3
36.4 gone! Root has struck, what a blow on the verge of tea! Root has tossed it up, drifting in and then turning away, there was some definite spin this time - Cowan goes for the big drive through cover and his edge is snapped up at first slip. 111/2
58.6 another terrific delivery from Broad, leaving Clarke just a fraction and England think they've got him! Matt Prior is running away, his fists clenched ... Aleem Dar seems to be asking whether it carried. The third umpire is consulted and Prior's take was clean ... Dar raises the finger - and now Clarke reviews! This goes back up to the third umpire, this time with Hot Spot in use, this is going to be an absolutely massive call ... and there's just the merest smudge of a heat mark down near the toe of the bat, a little sound on the audio too, I think and for the second time Dar raises his finger! Clarke is out and England are jubilant 161/4
59.1 plays back, the ball spinning sharply and Smith is trapped bang in front! England have two in two, Dharmasena took a while to think about it but that was a very good call, the ball turning a long way from wide of the stumps, past the inside edge and hitting just above the knee roll in front of middle and off 161/5
61.5 he doesn't get his bat in line with this one, thumped on the back pad in front of middle, England roar out another appeal but Dharmasena shakes his head. They ask for the review and the big question is whether is pitched in line with leg stump ... Looks pretty tight, definitely no bat involved ... and Hawk Eye says its good, on the line of leg and the decision will be overturned! This is a question of millimetres, more than half the ball deemed to have landed on the edge of the blue zone - and Australia have suffered another DRS-ing 164/6
110.5 ENGLAND HAVE WON! Amazing scenes. There was only really half an appeal as Haddin drives and Prior takes the catch low. There was a review but it didn't look like England believed. Cook decided to gamble and after rocking and rolling the pictures, and after asking for multiple replays, Marias Erasmus, a man at the centre of so much this game, told Aleem Dar there was definite evidence to overrule. Here's a replay of what happened: Haddin drives, it goes past the inside edge. There is a noise. Is there a mark? There is something on the inside edge? Oh boy, what a moment. The third umpire wants to hear the sound too. There is a noise. I can't believe this. IT'S OUT 296/10
86.3 edged! Caught! Breakthrough! Anderson finds Agar's edge from round the wicket, just pushing away from his body and it flies quickly to Cook who is the line slip fielder and he holds on to a sharp chance. 207/7
88.1 another one caught at slip! Lovely bowling from Anderson as this one pitches on leg and nips away sharply off the seam, Starc looks to defend and edges to Cook. 211/8
94.2 Cook takes this catch! Siddle is gone! Anderson has struck again and England are one wicket from victory! This was fuller and wide of off, swinging away just a touch, and Siddle went for the big drive. His edge flew away to the right of Cook at first slip and that's a super catch, he has to hurl his hands out quickly and that more than makes up for his missed chance in Anderson's last over 231/9
