9.42pm There's some momentum for Kings XI, but I think that's under-par in very friendly batting conditions. Much of Kings XI's struggles with the bat was down to some excellent bowling from Mumbai, who used changes in pace very effectively. Those ones seem harder to hit than the deliveries with pace on it.

Varun adds this: Once again, Mumbai have thrown it away in the last over. It was McClenaghan in the last game (he conceded 24 and that cost them the game). That last over, though, showed that this pitch wasn't hard to bat on at all. Punjab's strategy may have ensured only five overs of spin, but their middle-order meddling might have costed them 15 runs after the start they made.

Back soon for the chase.

HH Pandya to Stoinis, FOUR, four to finish. A slower ball on middle and leg, smashed away into the gap at midwicket. 22 off the last over, Kings XI will take that.
19.5
6
HH Pandya to Stoinis, SIX, six! 133 kph, a short delivery around off, Stoinis backs away and slices the ball intentionally over short third man. Not the worst delivery, but that's a very good shot.

HH Pandya to Agarwal, OUT, good catch. A slower ball outside off, Agarwal backs away. The ball is wide outside off, so he isn't balanced at point of contact. The ball slices away, third man runs back and takes a good, well-judged catch

SidB: "Nikhil, maybe these conditions are not as batting friendly as you think? After all, neither Gayle nor Rahul could really get going. And that has been the story for other batsmen as well. Maybe a bit early to judge the pitch before the other team has batted as well?" Agreed. But enough evidence so far.

HH Pandya to Stoinis, 1 run, a short slower ball outside off, hit away to long-off. Stoinis isn't happy with the execution.

4
HH Pandya to Stoinis, FOUR, swatted into the gap at midwicket. A short delivery around middle and leg, pulled away into the gap at midwicket

6
HH Pandya to Stoinis, SIX, seven off the first ball. Full outside off, Stoinis gets underneath the length and gets enough to clear long-off. Not the best of timing, but enough

HH Pandya to Stoinis, 1 wide, yikes! A wideeeee delivery outside off, did that even land on the pitch?

Last over, Kings XI probably need 50 more. But they'll take 20.

Bumrah to Stoinis, 1 run, back of a length outside off, carved to deep point. That is an awesome spell, 1 for 19 in these batting-friendly conditions.

2
Bumrah to Stoinis, 2 runs, back of a length, short delivery. Stoinis splices a pull with awful timing towards long-on for two.

Anabil Dutta : "Has Bumrah lost his 'yorkerability'?" Haven't seen a yorker in a while. Or he's just missing all the time.

1
Bumrah to Agarwal, 1 run, full around off, smashed away to long-off

deepak: "11 runs scored in the over and you are saying it's a decent over for Mumbai??" T20s have changed drastically. Not a bad over at all in these conditions

1
Bumrah to Stoinis, 1 run, a good length delivery on off, chipped to deep midwicket for one
18.2
0
Bumrah to Stoinis, no run, a slower delivery outside off. Stoinis tries to lift the ball over cover but plays weirdly inside the line. Stoinis now 4 off 7

Chris M: "Looks like they're going to be about 50 under par! The middle order is terrible for Punjab. Gayle and Rahul + the bowling have won every game for them. They have to play Finch at 4 "

18.1
1
Bumrah to Agarwal, 1 run, full and straight, defended to cover for a run

Mumbai have bowled very very well, hardly any pace on the ball.

Cutting to Agarwal, SIX, just over long-off. A slower ball again outside off, Agarwal looks to hit the ball over cover but the bat face closes again. He still has just enough timing and power to clear long-off

Bumrah to Patel, OUT, chipped to Hardik Pandya at long-on! Kings XI stuttering here. Another good slower ball, on middle and leg, an offcutter. Axar Patel tries to hit the ball straight and does so well. But the pace off the ball was responsible for the ball being chipped instead of hit. Easy catch.
