12.06am That's all from us tonight. Mumbai move to sixth on the points table, while RCB slip to seventh. Still over 2/3rd of this league stage still to go, so RCB would still believe they're in this tournament. For Mumbai, it's all about continuing their momentum over the next few matches. See you tomorrow for the match between Rajasthan Royals and Kolkata Knight Riders. We hope you enjoyed tonight's coverage. On behalf of everyone at ESPNcricinfo, this is Sreshth Shah, saying goodbye.

11.50pm Not often you see two captains making 90-plus scores in the same match, but tonight was no contest. Kohli's 92 was a lone hand for RCB, with none of the Bangalore boys scoring more than 19. In contrast, Rohit made 94 for Mumbai Indians, but was helped Evin Lewis' 65 and three wickets from Krunal Pandya. McClenaghan chipped in with two wickets and so did Jasprit Bumrah, but spare a thought for Ishan Kishan, who had to leave the ground after suffering a face injury. Mumbai Indians win their first game in four matches, and one wonders, if this is when they turn their whole season around. Stick around for the presentation.

Rohit Sharma, the Man of the Match & the winning captain. "(on starting 0 for 2), it wasn't the ideal situation and I thought Umesh bowled in the right areas," Rohit said. "There's always something for the seamers in the first six overs, but the wicket was still soft when I came in, so just wanted to assess the situation and pace my innings. Always easier when you spend some time in the crease. This is a perfect game for us. A collective effort from both our departments, plus our fielding. We can take lot of confidence from this game and move ahead. Yes, we lost the last three games, but we've played some good cricket. It was all about putting a collective performance. (On his batting position), it's a chat that's been happening for many years now, but the idea behind me at No. 4 is to give the team some support towards the middle. That's why it's important to have an experienced player in the middle. Whatever I need to do for the team, you've gotta do it. Lewis is very hard to bowl at once he gets in. The other day he played a crucial knock as well, but we did a mistake of not finishing off against Delhi Daredevils. If he continues to bat this way, then life will be much easier for our other batsmen."

Virat Kohli, the orange cap holder and losing captain. Says: "I don't really want to wear this right now. We just threw it away, and need to reflect on our dismissals. One or two good partnerships would've done it for us, but credit to Mumbai who bowled really well. Mumbai played well, we didn't get any chances, and when you have your back against the wall - like they did - they could play fearlessly. We tried our hardest but couldn't get the breakthroughs."

Mayank Markande, the purple cap holder. Says: "Feeling very proud to get the purple cap. Good to compete with Narine, Umesh bhai, Woakes. Krunal Pandya is helping me with practice, what line and length to bowl."

Krunal Pandya: "We've played well in all four games, but now we want to continue this winning run. I've been impressed with Mayank, and if we can bowl eight good overs, we can restrict the opposition."

Naresh Kumar: "Gutted to see Kohli's interview. I hope the batting unit play little more responsibly. 2 wickets in a over for like 3rd time for RCB. Can't have that as it derails the momentum."

Kapil: "RCB is Classic Example of putting all eggs in one basket, outside AB and Virat no real threat in batting. I feel like RCB by luck or stretagy just can't get it right. Did not do good job picking overseas or local players in auction. Other teams at least have one medium pace all-rounder in the side. Cannot win t/20 games consistantly with 5 bowlers theory. Chahal has not fired in thei IPL, it's back firing not pick additional quality spinner. "

Bumrah to Kohli, no run, good length on leg stump, and Kohli can't flick it towards the leg side. Hits his thigh pad, and he whimpers in pain. Mumbai Indians win by 46 runs.

Bumrah to Kohli, no run, excellent ball from Bumrah. Extra short on middle stump, and Kohli flat-bats it over the non-striker's head. Through to long on, but says no to the run

Bumrah to Kohli, SIX, moves on to 92! Full on off, and Kohli's down on one knee, and smacks this over the non-striker's head. What a shot

Bumrah to Kohli, no run, good length on off, and Kohli tries to slap this over the bowler's head. Played down the wrong line, and the delivery's through to Tare

Bumrah to Kohli, FOUR, good length outside off, and Kohli's back-foot punch takes a thick outside edge! Flies over backward point for a boundary. Can he get to hundred?
